"The Bedford Lions Club has had a very busy time since Christmas when we raised over £11,000 for Bedford Day Care Hospice, Ridgeway School and other local charities
  Socially we enjoyed a Burns Night in January attended by our District Governor and 45 Lions and friends at the Fox & Hounds Public House. Piper Frank Hearn piped in the Haggis and we enjoyed a four course meal which gave us the stamina to dance with the Scottish Dance Society led by George Hogg who performed the dances for us, before encouraging us to join in
  In February we held a Chinese evening where a fellow Lion from London China Town Club entertained us and cooked a selection of Chinese food for us to taste
  Five Lions attended the District Convention in London and danced the night away with Lions from Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, London, Middlesex and Oxfordshire with visitors from Norfolk, Yorkshire, America, Germany and Poland
  We celebrate our Charter on March 17th
with a Dinner and Dance at the Addison Centre
  The newly formed Kempston Leo Club Charter Ceremony takes place on Sunday March 25th and membership is open to those aged 11-18 years old
